katie ferrari writes fiction and personal essays. her work traces the warp and weft of the personal and political and explores power, relationship to the land, rebellion, and community. she has been a public interest journalist, middle school english teacher, and organic vegetable farmer. her flash essay, “what the city will whisper,” was published in the Bureau of Compliant and nominated for The Best of the Net. she’s currently at work on a novel about peasant rebellions in England in the late feudal period.
